Choice begins when several directions matter to you. One leads towards familiar ground, another towards change, and a third may reveal something you had not yet considered. In the MYRUNA Atlas, Choice unfolds through Crossroads, Obstacle, Clarity and Responsibility. Explore the symbols that give a personal decision a visible, lasting meaning.
The moment before you choose
Two messages lie beside you, or a conversation keeps returning to your thoughts. Something about the next step matters. Some choices begin a whole new chapter; others simply change the way you relate to yourself. In MYRUNA, Choice begins with noticing that moment rather than rushing past it. Name the directions in front of you and ask what attracts you to each one. One may stand for peace, another for courage, another for a connection worth caring for. When you can name those values, your decision becomes a story of your own priorities. This path offers symbols for recognising that story.
Four branches of one personal question
Crossroads is about seeing several directions at once and understanding what makes each meaningful. Obstacle brings your attention to the particular point where movement has slowed. Clarity is the moment when you separate your own values from the expectations surrounding you. Responsibility begins when you make a choice your own and give it form through action. The four branches describe different parts of the experience rather than competing answers. You can explore them in sequence or begin with the one that describes your present situation most closely. Each gives the Choice path its own depth and purpose.
Three Paths — one starting point, three directions
Three Paths is painted in exactly four separate strokes. A straight lower stem rises to one shared junction. Three independent upper lines then travel towards the left, directly upwards and towards the right. Its branching shape is easy to recognise on a stone. The symbol belongs to the Crossroads branch, where more than one direction seems worth exploring. Write down three possibilities and place a personal value beside each: independence, closeness, discovery or calm. The mark brings that moment into a simple visible form. What matters is the value you want to carry with you as you decide which direction deserves your attention.
Gate — the instant of crossing
Gate consists of three strokes: two upright sides and a separate arch connecting their upper ends. A clear opening remains between them. It represents the instant when reflection begins to turn into a new chapter. Think of a meaningful conversation, a personal change or a decision to step into an unfamiliar setting. Three Paths shows the directions available to you; Gate gives the actual transition a place of its own. Hold that image in mind and name one value you intend to take through the opening. This is the symbol of a conscious transition, with enough space at its centre to imagine the step that comes next.
Obstacle — recognise the point where you paused
Sometimes the direction is already important to you, yet one part needs attention: a conversation not begun, a question unanswered or a habit that has become difficult to change. Give that obstacle a precise name. On paper, make two columns: what you can do yourself, and what you still want to find out. Place one small action in the first and one clear question in the second. The Step symbol is formed by three separate short horizontal lines at ascending heights. It offers a visual rhythm for passing from one stage to another. Gate can represent the transition itself, while Step draws attention to the practical movement along the way.
Clarity — find the value behind your decision
Clarity often arrives through attention rather than another piece of information. Ask yourself what you wish to preserve and what you are ready to learn. Write one honest sentence for each answer. Then consider how every direction before you relates to those values. You can even explain the meaning of the decision to someone close without announcing which direction you will take. In the MYRUNA signs, Three Paths makes the range of possibilities visible, while Gate directs attention to a particular crossing. Clarity is the understanding of why one step matters to you, whether your question is large, intimate or part of everyday life.
Responsibility — turn an intention into a gesture
A decision takes on meaning in the actions that follow: a sincere conversation, a promise you make to yourself or a small step repeated with care. The Responsibility branch asks how you will carry your chosen value into daily life. Select one gesture for the next day, perhaps writing an important question, telling someone your decision thoughtfully or creating space for a new habit. Step, with its three separate short horizontal strokes at rising levels, expresses the movement from intention towards action. This focus makes Choice distinct from Abundance, which deals with resources and planning, and Work, which concerns professional roles and projects.
A choice stone, the Baptism of Intention and your reading
Choose a natural MYRUNA stone marked with Three Paths for a crossroads, or Gate for an important transition. The selected motif is hand-painted on an individual stone and dedicated through the Baptism of Intention. Hold the stone for a moment, bring your question to mind and name the value you wish to keep close. Then write down one action that belongs to you. For a second way to explore the question, choose a personal three-card Tarot reading. Its PDF offers interpretations for three positions and a synthesis connected to your own situation. The stone and reading create complementary ways to reflect on the moment of choice.
