Remembrance Stone — Hand-painted Root

Give a meaningful memory a place of its own. This natural white stone offers a lasting symbol to keep beside a photograph, letter or other treasured reminder.

Giving personal memories a meaningful place

The Remembrance Stone honours the meaning of people, places and experiences that remain part of your personal story. You may connect it to a friendship, a journey, a completed project or a moment when someone helped you see life differently. MYRUNA's Root symbolizes the relationship between what you have lived and what you carry forward. The focus is personal remembrance rather than solely the passing of family stories from one generation to another. Choose a memory that matters, and let the stone become its recognizable symbolic place.

The Root and its four distinct painted strokes

The established Root has four separate painted strokes: a long central upright, two lower branches extending outward and an upper curved arch. The central line evokes continuity, the branches different experiences and the arch the attention you wish to give something meaningful. Each stroke retains its position when painted by hand on the actual stone. The drawing stays the same whether you dedicate it to a person or an event. Your personal words make the significance particular to you without changing the established MYRUNA design.

Memories beyond family history

An important memory need not be a family tradition. It might be the day you achieved something independently, a shared experience with a close friend, a journey or a lesson learned at a decisive point. The Remembrance Stone gives a focus to such personally significant moments. Unlike a stone dedicated to passing family history along, it concerns the way you keep the meaning of your own chosen experience present. You can connect this symbol to gratitude for what the past has added to your life. This version bears Root; the Stone of Tender Memory carries the different Return sign.

A personal way to honour an experience

Choose a photograph, keepsake, letter or ticket associated with your memory and place the stone near it. Consider what happened and why the experience still matters. The two lower branches can remind you of the circumstances and feelings of the moment; the central line recalls what remains meaningful now. You might use an intention such as 'I remember with gratitude what has shaped my journey'. Returning to the stone lets this significance retain a familiar place in your daily surroundings.

Natural white stone and hand-painting

One natural white stone measures approximately 2–3 cm wide and 3–4 cm long. Its outline, texture and shade are individual. The Root is painted directly on the natural surface, preserving its upright stem, two lower branches and upper arch as four distinct strokes. The scale adapts to each real piece, while the arrangement remains unchanged. You can keep the stone with personal keepsakes or in a soft pouch, caring gently for the painted surface with a dry, soft cloth.

Baptism of Intention and Night of Connection

After hand-painting, MYRUNA performs Baptism of Intention, symbolically dedicating the Root to the memory you have chosen. An optional intention of up to 250 characters may express its personal significance. Night of Connection follows as the next ceremonial preparation stage, joining the painted mark and dedication. After receiving your stone, you can follow its four elements with your eyes, recall the experience and place it beside the object you associate with that moment.
